This is a service that I have provided to the trade and individuals for 30 years.  Diamonds are the hardest known substance, it is this extreme hardness that makes them susceptible to various kinds of damage.  The most common damage is chipping around the girdle, this creates a sharp edge and because of the sharp edge its much easier to continue the damage.  In most cases a simple repair will take care of the problem and save the most weight.  On occasion the break is bad enough to warrant recutting, this puts the stone back to its original shape only smaller. It  takes more weight to recut a diamond, however a good cutter can estimate approximate finished weight before recutting.

All repairs or recuts on diamonds are first given written estimates as to the weight loss, cost and time.  No work is done until a written OK is received.

Fancies

Fancies cut diamonds are also estimated in the same manor.

Turn Around

Turn around time is always dependent on current work load and quality of material i.e. knotted stones and fancie cut diamonds take longer to cut.

Liability

As a cutter all precaution is taken to do the job.  However do to the nature of the work all liability for the stone while being worked on is at the customers risk.
